I thought I should write up our mission statement and why the uprising of a forum in 2025.
Our Mission
To put it simply; Our mission is to cultivate a thriving and inclusive global community for RC drift enthusiasts of all skill levels.
We aim to be the central hub for RC drifting, fostering an active and engaging environment where members connect, share knowledge, collaborate on projects, and celebrate the thrill and sport of RC drifting.
We welcome everyone, from newcomers just discovering the hobby to seasoned professionals pushing its boundaries.
Our focus is on facilitating the exchange of information, supporting individual growth, and promoting the advancement of RC drifting worldwide, while ensuring a respectful and welcoming atmosphere for all.
Why We Launched Skidpad.one:
The internet is vast, but finding a dedicated, well-organized space specifically for RC drifting has been a challenge not just for me, but I bet a few people. We envisioned a place where enthusiasts from around the world could connect, regardless of their location or experience. Skidpad.one was born out of the need for a dedicated platform to:
Bring Together The Community: Bring together RC drifters from all corners of the globe into one cohesive space. No more scattered groups or struggling to find relevant information.
Facilitate Knowledge Sharing: Create a repository of information, tutorials, tips, and tricks related to all aspects of RC drifting, from beginner basics to advanced techniques and tuning. This includes sharing experiences with different chassis, electronics, tires, tuning and tracks.
Promote Collaboration: Encourage interaction and collaboration between members. This could include sharing custom builds, hosting online competitions, organizing group events (virtual and eventually, more in-person), and working together on projects.
Celebrate the Hobby: Provide a platform to showcase the creativity, skill, and passion within the RC drift community. This could involve sharing photos and videos of drifts, builds, and events.
Support Growth: Help newcomers get started in the hobby by providing clear guidance and a welcoming environment. We also want to support the growth of the hobby as a whole by fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with RC drifting.
What "We" Means as a Community:
"We" at Skidpad.one encompasses everyone who wants to or is already involved in the hobby, the forum was started by you ladies and gentlemen, who enjoy these fun scaled machines. This includes seasoned professionals to curious newcomers. It's a collective identity built on shared passion and mutual respect. "We" believe in:
Inclusivity: Welcoming all members regardless of skill level, background, or location. We strive to create a friendly and supportive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable participating.
